What do these song lyrics mean?

I think it means that although Anjulie (the artist of this song) doesn't want to get involved with this certain boy, she realizes that her heart is controlling her getting her "caught up in him but she don't wanna". Every encounter with him her heart goes "boom" and she loses more and more control over her emotions/feelings towards him. This is what the lyrics mean to me.
